Grammy-Winning, Mexican-American Band, the Villalobos Brothers, to Perform at Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center in New York City

New York City, NY - June 15, 2023 - The Villalobos Brothers, a renowned Mexican-American family band of virtuoso fiddlers and singer-songwriters, is set to captivate audiences at the long-awaited Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC) at the newly constructed World Trade Center. The band will headline the night titled "RELATIVELY SPEAKING: FAMILY AS REFUGE" on September 22, 2023. The event, curated by PAC NYC, will celebrate the love, acceptance, and understanding found within families.

"RELATIVELY SPEAKING: FAMILY AS REFUGE" will showcase artists from around the world who have built their careers by making music with their family members. The Villalobos Brothers, known for their fusion of Mexican folk and jazz, will take the stage and enchant the audience with their unique blend of traditional and contemporary sounds. Joining them for this extraordinary night of music will be Fanoos Ensemble, The HawtPlates, Amal Murkus, Martha Redbone, and Firas Zreik.

 

The Villalobos Brothers have established themselves as one of the foremost Contemporary Mexican ensembles in the world. Their music draws from the rich traditions of Veracruz, seamlessly blending Son Jarocho, Son Huasteco, and Latin Jazz. Their captivating performances have garnered praise on prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Latin Grammy Awards.

The Perelman Performing Arts Center, located at the corner of Fulton and Greenwich Street on the World Trade Center campus, is a dynamic new cultural organization dedicated to bringing together audiences and artists in flexible performance spaces. This state-of-the-art venue will open its doors to the public in September 2023, offering a wide-ranging program that will enthrall, awe, and entertain audiences.
